CCTV Training Course Summary

This intensive five day course of formal training, assessment and qualification is designed for law enforcement personnel working with CCTV evidence. The course addresses the relevant knowledge and specialist image analysis skills required by CCTV Investigators. A distinct focus of the course is learning the specialist image analysis skills developed by CAST (in conjunction with UK Police services) for evaluating people and modes of transport in CCTV.

Furthermore candidates will learn how human factors can affect their ability to perform highly cognitive tasks such as image analysis and how best to mitigate these effects. Knowledge of human factors also extends to candidates learning how to get the best from their working environment.
