This test assesses English Language, Listening and Comprehension skills across six key areas of language skill. This not a verbal reasoning assessment.
Our English test for non-native speakers is also suitable for anyone working within the global business market, who wants to practice, maintain or develop his or her understanding of the English language.
This test can also be part of our Aviation Assessment suite, and is suitable for individuals who wish to ascertain whether they meet the threshold level of English proficiency for this sector, with an approximate ICAO rating offered in the report.
The Symbiotics English Knowledge test is completed online, so candidates need access to a computer with internet access. The ability to listen to audio is also a requirement for this assessment, so if it is being undertaken as part of an assessment centre we would advise having headphones for each participant.
Buying multiple tests - do you need a corporate account? Speak to our sales team for bulk discounts on test purchases in preparation for a recruitment process or assessment centre. Once purchased, you will receive Licence codes to enable you to distribute the assessments to your candidates as required.
Licence codes are for single use only and the assessment must be completed within 3 months.
Are you looking to brush up on your English skills? Candidates are able to purchase an individual license here to allow verification of the test, or for practice prior to an assessment centre. You will receive a licence code to allow you access to the system, which will enable you to undertake one sixty-minute assessment.
For assistance during this process, please see support details provided in the Welcome email.
This test takes 60 minutes to complete and will automatically finish after this time regardless of whether a candidate has answered all of the questions. There is a requirement for headphones or the ability or listen to audio.
This test is designed to demonstrate a minimum ICAO Level 4 proficiency for aviation candidates.
The international business language is English, so though this test is primarily designed for the aviation sector, it is relevant for any organisation working in the global market for non-native speakers.
