This test assesses a candidate's Maths knowledge, it is not a numerical reasoning assessment. This is an academic test, aligned to an 18+ educational level of mathematics.
This test comprises randomly generated questions which become progressively more difficult throughout the test. The 20 questions in this paper are divided into three different levels: Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced.
This test assesses your ability to apply mathematical knowledge, formulae and calculations. People who perform well on this test tend to be comfortable working with data.
The Symbiotics Maths test is completed online, so candidates only need access to a computer with internet access. This is an academic test, with randomly generated questions from our banks to reduce the risk of cheating or sharing answers across candidates. This allows for an almost unlimited number of test variants, ensuring that the results are a true representation of ability as opposed to learned answers from a standard test.

The results of this test are provided as a score, which fits within a colour banding for easy identification of level.
This test should not be confused with a Numerical Reasoning test, which looks at an underlying cognitive capability to work with numbers.
This Maths test is aligned to the capability required for examination in Mathematics at age 18+. It is designed for roles where pure mathematical capability is required, such as in aviation or navigation.
