For Individuals

You can explore all of our assessments in our Practice Shop , where we provide guidance on the most suitable assessment bundles for different career stages, including cadets, first officers, and captains. This makes it easy to identify the assessments best aligned to your current role and requirements.
We do not offer free trials of our ADAPT assessments. However, our Pilot Readiness Indicator is available free of charge. This tool provides an overview of your strengths and identifies areas for development, helping you focus your preparation as you work towards a career as a pilot.
Yes, you can buy some of our tests for practice purposes. We have bundles and single practice tests available to purchase here.
Attempts vary from test to test. For Maths, Physics and Cognitive Reasoning practice tests you get five (5) attempts per purchase. For Co-ordination and FAST tests you get fifteen (15) attempts per purchase. For all other tests / questionnaires you get one (1) attempt per purchase. Please note that a repeat purchase of a test will have the same questions as your original purchase.
All of our practice tests and Questionnaires are based on one single fixed set of questions. We recommend you go to the individual assessment pages on the website for detailed information on each assessment programme.
Whilst we advise on whether your answers to questions are correct or incorrect, we do not provide the actual answers. Your report will advise on possible areas of development for each individual.
Yes, you will receive a report showing your results. To download your report please log in to your ADAPT account and select the 'My Activities' section, then 'Participant' section. Here, you will see a list of your assessments.

For completed practice assessments there will be a purple 'View' button next to it. Click this and it will take you to a page where there will be a link to 'Download Report'.

If you are taking a test on behalf of a company or as part of a recruitment process, please contact them directly for your results.
Licence codes are valid for three (3) months from the date they are issued. Please note that some assessments allow multiple attempts.
This is most likely being caused by a 'plug-in' or 'add-in' on your web browser. That is something used to block tracking or pop-ups. Disable any plug-ins and try again.

To access your ADAPT Personality Questionnaire report you must first have had your feedback session with one of our Psychology team members. You can find the booking link for the feedback session within the completion page of the APQ.

Click the 'Forgotten my username' link on the ADAPT login page and when requested enter your email address (the one you registered with). Your username will then be emailed to you.
Symbiotics Limited operates a refund policy which is pursuant to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You can request a full refund up to 14 business days (which exclude Saturdays, Sundays and UK public holidays) - known as the 'cooling off period' - after confirmation that your purchase has been completed for the Screening Assessment, provided that the licence key has not been redeemed, or any attempt made to complete any tests. Any request for withdrawal or cancellation after 14 business days following purchase, or once the Screening Assessment has been started, completed, or any attempt made to complete any tests, if approved, will not receive a refund. Symbiotics Limited will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 business days of the day on which you requested it.
We recommend the Thrustmaster T16000M or anything equivalent to this. Please contact us directly at support@symbioticsltd.com providing your make and model details if you would like to discuss the suitability of another model.
If the joystick is still not working, try unplugging it and plugging it back in, into a different USB port.

To help isolate the issue, try using a different computer and/or a different joystick and see if this helps. Ensure that you also check 'Game Controllers' in your Windows/MAC Control Panel to ensure that the joystick is correctly calibrated.

Yes. Several Symbiotics assessments are restricted to certified users due to their psychological foundations. Our Report Interpretation Training provides the certification required to use these assessments and focuses on understanding and interpreting assessment reports effectively. The training covers key topics such as personality assessment, report methodology, and best-practice use of ADAPT reports within recruitment and assessment processes.
We want to ensure you select the most appropriate assessments for your requirements and have the right support in place to achieve the best outcomes. As our assessments are provided in line with British Psychological Society guidelines, we have an ethical responsibility to ensure they are used and interpreted correctly. As a result, we may need to discuss your needs before granting access to certain assessments.
This means that the questions have been put together by our psychology team and the results need interpretation so that the most accurate and useful feedback can be provided, ensuring any decisions made from this data are justified.
You will be provided with access to an assessment programme specifically for your candidate. Our test administration system randomly generates each assessment from our question banks, ensuring test content varies between candidates.

Licence codes are typically valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Once a candidate registers, the validity changes to three (3) months from the registration date or the original 12-month expiry date, whichever occurs sooner.

All of our tests are available online, we do not offer a paper alternative.
Yes our Psychology team can work with you to either use our existing tests to design and create a test battery that works best for you or can design new tests specifically for your requirements.
Yes. Through an organisational profiling exercise, we can develop a detailed understanding of your organisation's culture. The results can then be used to inform assessment scoring and help identify candidates whose preferences and behaviours align with your desired organisational fit.
