Frequently Asked Questions

Attempts vary from test to test. For Maths, Physics and Cognitive Reasoning practice tests you get five (5) attempts per purchase. For Co-ordination and FAST tests you get fifteen (15) attempts per purchase. For all other tests / questionnaires you get one (1) attempt per purchase. Please note that a repeat purchase of a test will have the same questions as your original purchase.

All of our practice tests and Questionnaires are based on one single fixed set of questions. We recommend you visit the individual assessment pages on our website for detailed information on each assessment.

Whilst we advise on whether your answers to questions are correct or incorrect, we do not provide the actual answers. Your report will advise on possible areas of development for each individual.

If you buy an individual test for practice or development, you will receive your feedback report directly. If you are taking a test on behalf of your company or as a part of a recruitment process your test results and report will be sent to the relevant company. Our Mental Health Assessment report is sent to either your company's occupational health team or a nominated third party provider of occupational health.

Each code lasts for 3 months. Some tests allow multiple attempts, as shown on the test page.

If you have forgotten your username, please email Support@symbioticsltd.com and ask for a reminder to be sent. You will need to email from the email address your ADAPT account is registered with.

To access your ADAPT Personality Questionnaire report you must first have had your feedback session with one of our Psychology team members.

Symbiotics Limited operates a refund policy which is pursuant to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You can request a full refund up to 14 business days (which exclude Saturdays, Sundays and UK public holidays) - known as the 'cooling off period' - after confirmation that your purchase has been completed for the Screening Assessment, provided that the licence key has not been redeemed, or any attempt made to complete any tests. Any request for withdrawal or cancellation after 14 business days following purchase, or once the Screening Assessment has been started, completed, or any attempt made to complete any tests, if approved, will not receive a refund. Symbiotics Limited will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 business days of the day on which you requested it.

This means that the questions have been put together by our psychology team and the results need interpretation so that the most accurate and useful feedback can be provided, ensuring any decisions made from this data are justified.

You will be provided with access to an assessment programme specifically for your candidate. Our test administration system randomly generates each assessment from our question banks, ensuring test content varies between candidates.

We do have a specific suite of tests for aviation, as well as for the police and emergency services, but our tests are designed and developed for any industry with a focus on high stress, risk or consequence environments.

Codes provided to you for your own assessment purposes will normally last 12 months unless otherwise agreed.

All of our tests are available online, we do not offer a paper alternative.

Yes our Psychology team can work with you to either use our existing tests to design and create a test battery that works best for you or can design new tests specifically for your requirements.

Yes we can assess your organisational culture based on what you would like it to be. We can also profile your organisation so where required we can adapt our existing tests to your companies profile.
