Camas, WA - Skyfarer, the U.S. aviation marketplace connecting student pilots, flight instructors, flight schools and aviation service providers across all 50 states, today announced a partnership with Symbiotics Ltd, a specialist provider of psychometric assessment for the aviation industry and owner of the ADAPT assessment platform.
Through the partnership, pilots on Skyfarer can access Symbiotics' ADAPT practice assessments at a discounted rate. The practice tests give candidates the chance to familiarise themselves with the aptitude and psychometric testing used in pilot selection before they sit the real thing.
For U.S. pilots, the timing matters. Aptitude and psychometric screening is a standard gate in airline and cadet recruitment, yet most pilots trained through the general aviation pathway encounter it for the first time on the day it counts. Flight instructors building hours toward an airline career, commercial pilots preparing for direct entry applications, and students targeting cadet programmes all face assessments they have had little opportunity to practice.
"Pilots spend years preparing for their careers, yet often spend little time preparing for the assessments that decide whether they get the interview," said Nick Tsang, founder and CEO of Skyfarer. "Symbiotics builds the tests that airlines actually use. Giving pilots on Skyfarer a way to practice on the real thing, closes a blind spot in the U.S. training pathway."
Symbiotics has delivered assessments to aviation for more than 30 years, completing approximately 11,500 assessments each month across more than 130 locations in over 80 countries. Its ADAPT platform is used by airlines, training organisations, and universities worldwide, including a number of U.S institutions.
"Partnering with Skyfarer allows us to support aspiring pilots in the U.S. who are actively preparing for airline assessments. We're delighted to make ADAPT practice assessments more accessible to them to help candidates prepare with confidence and for success," says Hannah Davies, Symbiotics Director of Strategy and Growth.
Practice assessments are available individually and in role-based bundles covering ab-initio and cadet, direct entry first officer, and direct entry captain pathways. Tests include a range of options from cognitive reasoning, the Future Aptitude Selection Tool (FAST), aviation knowledge, crew resource management, control and coordination through to ADAPT Personality Questionnaire and much more.
