Our Cognitive Reasoning assessments are used by Airlines and Aviation Training Organisations to test your general intelligence, indicating your aptitude for learning across multiple presentations of information. A Cognitive Assessment is a key part of the aviation assessment and selection process at many different levels whether that is at a cadet level or a direct entry level captain position.
The practice test enables you to familiarise yourself with what to expect in a cognitive reasoning assessment and allow you to highlight any specific areas of weakness that may need further work prior to taking the assessment allowing you to perform at the best of your ability on the day.
You will receive five attempts at the Cognitive Reasoning Practice Test which features 36 multiple choice questions. The test has a time limit of 30 minutes. All five attempts will feature the same questions. After purchasing you will have 3 months to complete all five attempts of your practice test.
You will receive a report detailing how you have done on the test upon completion of each attempt.
This test is designed to provide a report of your cognitive strengths and weaknesses using a fixed set of practice questions. This means each time you take the test, you will be presented with the same question paper. You have three months to take the tests so plenty of time for revision in between test attempts. This will allow you to focus your efforts on any weaker areas, refining your ability each time.
Once you have completed the secure online payment through Worldpay or Paypal, you will get instant access to your licence codes on the confirmation page.
The assessment is accessed by redeeming the licence code on our ADAPT platform. Simply login or register an account at https://adapt2.symbioticsltd.co.uk/login
The test can then be taken through the ADAPT platform. Once the test is completed, a report containing the results and how to interpret them will become available as a PDF download.
The results of this test are provided as an overall score plus scores for each section, all normed and shown within a colour banding for easy identification of level. This will include some revision guidance notes to allow you to focus on any areas of weakness.View a Sample Report

This practice test allows you to be as prepared as possible for your cognitive assessment, giving you an indication of the format of the test and what the style and level of questions is likely to be.
