Our Spoken English Assessment has been developed in partnership with Latitude Aviation English Services and is designed to reduce the time and administration required to complete and to be a scalable approach to spoken English assessment.
This assessment features the ability for candidates to securely record their audio responses to questions and scenarios, which are then scored by a qualified assessment rater.
The assessment comprises an introduction and three speaking task covering; general questions related to aviation, storyboard narration, storyboard follow-up prompts and a report on a presentation at a flight school.
Scores are reported in 5 criteria: Task fulfilment, Pronunciation, Language in use, Fluency and Coherence and cohesion. The lowest rating in any criterion is the final overall rating.
Scores are reported on a traffic light system ranging from CEFR B1 to CEFR B2+
